Free Web Promotion Advice That Works

There is a famous saying that there is nothing in life for free, well I would have to disagree. There are people or webmasters out there who are more than happy to share their knowledge of how to promote a website and what's more the advice is free.

So is there a catch? Why would they be willing to offer their advice for free when they could be charging a fee? These are questions that I asked myself as I was also rather wary. In reality there is no catch, these webmasters just like to meet other people who they then might be able to do future business with.

It is a bit like if your car break downs and you need a mechanic. We all know that mechanics can load the price some what and that it is much better if you know somebody in the trade. If this webmaster has helped a mechanic to reach number one in Google for lets say the search term "mechanic in Birmingham" then he may well agree to return the favour at a later date by fixing the webmasters car.

In the end it is all about forging business links in which everyone is a winner. I think we would all agree that it is virtually impossible to find a reputable company to promote our website as it seems that everybody is calling themselves an SEO expert these days.

The webmasters who are offering a free web promotion advice service are normally more than happy to show you examples of how certain things have helped their business in the past and about how patience is required. More importantly they will not be trying to rip you off or making false promises such as "I can get you to number one in Google". Maybe you can but will your practices get me banned? Anyone can go and buy a page rank nine link from a text link broker but this now goes against the current Google guidelines.
